Why we make two collections a year instead of eight, and why we will probably always do it this way.

We are often asked why we make so little. The answer is the same as the question — we make so little because we make so little.
Two collections a year. Numbered editions. When a piece sells out, it stays sold out, unless we choose to re-cut it the following season.
There are commercial reasons not to do it this way. There are also commercial reasons to do it this way — they just take longer to show up.
The pieces we make should last. That is the entire brief.
