1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of onmebali.com ("the site") and any order you place with ONME BALI ("we", "us"), a slow-fashion atelier based at Jl. Sunset Road No. 28, Seminyak, Bali 80361, Indonesia. By using the site or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site.
2. Who can buy
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the law of your country. If you are buying as a gift for someone under 18, the gift recipient does not enter into a contract — you do.
3. The pieces
- Every piece is hand-finished. Small variations in cut, colour, and grain are part of the way we work, not faults.
- We make a limited number of each piece each season. We may withdraw a piece without notice if it has sold out.
- Photographs are as faithful as we can make them; we cannot guarantee that the colours on your screen match exactly.
- All prices are shown in Indonesian Rupiah by default. Your selected currency on the site is a courtesy conversion at the current rate; the order is invoiced in IDR unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. How an order is formed
The product pages and the cart are not an offer to sell — they are an invitation for you to make an offer. An order is placed when you send your bag to us through our chat checkout (WhatsApp) or our contact form. The contract is formed only when we reply with a written confirmation that the order is accepted and the pieces are reserved for you. Until then, we may decline any order at our discretion — for example if a piece is out of stock, if there is an error in price, or if we suspect fraud.
5. Payment
We accept bank transfer, card payments arranged via secure link, and selected local methods. No payment is taken on the site itself; we never see or store full card details. Payment instructions are sent with the order confirmation. Your order is reserved for 24 hours from confirmation; after that, unpaid orders may be cancelled and the pieces released.
6. Shipping
Risk of loss passes to you when the parcel is handed to the carrier. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. All shipments are sent on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis: any customs duties, import VAT, GST, and courier handling fees assessed by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable on arrival. We declare the order value exactly as paid, per Indonesian export regulations. If a parcel is refused by the recipient because of customs charges, the outbound and return shipping costs are deducted from any refund. See our Shipping page for current rates and times.
7. Returns, refunds, EU cooling-off
- Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery by emailing care@onmebali.com. A Return Authorization (RMA) number is required; returns sent without one cannot be processed.
- Return shipping is paid by the customer. Any Indonesian import duties or taxes (Bea Cukai) on the returned parcel are deducted from the refund. The original outbound shipping cost is refunded only if you paid it, and only at the standard rate.
- If you are a consumer ordering from within the European Union, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from the day you receive the goods, for any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU. The procedure and deductions set out in our Returns page apply.
- Final-sale, archive, customised and personalised pieces, gift cards, fragrance with a broken seal, pierced jewellery, swimwear, intimates and lingerie are not eligible for return.
- Defective, damaged or wrong items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographs, per Indonesian Regulation PP 80/2019 Article 49. We arrange the return at our cost.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method, in the currency originally paid, within 14 days of our receiving and successfully inspecting the returned piece. Pieces failing inspection are not refunded and are returned to the sender at the sender's cost.
8. Gift cards
- Gift cards are valid for 12 months from purchase, redeemable on the site or in any of our boutiques.
- Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and are not refundable except where required by law.
- Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.
9. Intellectual property
Every photograph, illustration, pattern, sketch, and written word on this site belongs to ONME BALI or our collaborators. You may save and share images for personal, non-commercial use with credit. Any other use — including resale, reproduction, training of machine-learning models, or scraping — requires our written permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to your use of the site or any order is limited to the amount you paid for the order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
11. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, ferry and flight cancellations, government measures, and disruption of postal or courier services.
12. Acceptable use
- Do not use the site to break the law, infringe rights, or transmit harmful content.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, scrape at scale, or interfere with the site's security.
- Do not use our chat checkout for spam, harassment, or content that is not related to an order or enquiry.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought before the courts of Denpasar, Bali, except that consumers may also rely on mandatory protections of the law of their country of residence.
14. Contact
Write to care@onmebali.com for anything — questions about an order, returns, press, or to exercise a legal right. We aim to reply within one working day.
“We keep these terms short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, please ask — we'd rather explain than argue.”
