What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can remember you between pages or visits. Some are essential — without them the site can't keep your bag or your wishlist between clicks. Others are optional, used to understand how the site is being used and how our ads perform.
Cookies we use
Optional cookies
Two optional tools run only after you press "Accept" in the banner at the bottom of the page: Vercel Analytics, for anonymous traffic and page speed, and the Meta Pixel, for advertising. The Meta Pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages you view and when you search, add a piece to your bag or wishlist, start a WhatsApp order or message us — so we can see which of our ads work and show them to people who have visited the site. Meta receives this with your browser's details (and, where Meta's automatic matching applies, a hashed, scrambled copy of contact details you type on the site) and may link it to your Meta account under its own privacy policy. If you choose "Essential only", neither tool loads, and we remove the _fbp and _fbc cookies if an earlier visit left them. If you pressed "Accept" before October 2026, when the banner covered only Vercel Analytics, the banner asks you again and the Meta Pixel stays off until you answer. If we add any other optional tool, we will ask first and list it here.
Managing cookies
- You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Choosing "Essential only" there stops the Meta Pixel and Vercel Analytics from that page on.
- To control the ads Meta shows you everywhere, use the Ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you do, some parts of the site (cart, wishlist) will stop remembering you.
- To clear the data we store on your device for this site, open your browser settings and remove cookies for onmebali.com.
Local storage
We also use your browser's local storage to keep your bag, wishlist, and currency selection. This is similar to cookies but stays on your device only — we cannot read it from our servers. You can clear it the same way you clear cookies.
The shop also counts, for itself, anonymous totals — how often each piece and collection is viewed, and each piece added to the bag and ordered. These counts use no cookies, store nothing on your device and identify no one.
